InclusiVET
Bridging Skills and Accessibility in Vocational Training fort he hearing-impaired

The InclusiVET Project is an Erasmus+ initiative aims to empower hearing-impaired learners in vocational training, increase employability, and facilitate smooth integration into the labour market.

The project brings together partners from multiple countries, collaborating to develop industry-specific sign language vocabularies, e-learning modules, and a robust assessment and certification system. Activities include the creation of training content, virtual learning scenarios, and exchange of good practices across Europe.

Through the project, learners gain access to innovative training methods, while partners strengthen cross-border collaboration and contribute to social inclusion in vocational education. The expected impact includes improved access to quality vocational training for the hearing-impaired, greater professional integration, and long-term capacity-building for inclusive education across partner countries.

Why this taget group

The project focuses on hearing-impaired learners because they face significant barriers in accessing vocational education and training, which limits their opportunities for skill development and labor market integration. By targeting this group, the project aims to bridge the gap between education and employability, ensuring equal access to quality training.

Hearing-impaired individuals benefit from specialized tools, standardized sign language resources, and tailored training methodologies that address their specific communication needs. Supporting this target group aligns with the project’s objectives of social inclusion, empowerment, and lifelong learning, allowing learners to acquire practical skills, gain confidence, and access better employment opportunities.

Working with this group also promotes awareness among educational institutions and industry partners about inclusive practices, fostering more equitable learning environments and sustainable integration of marginalized groups into society.
